Tooth discoloration can often no longer be removed with the help of bleaching. In this case, the use of veneers in Turkey can help. The ceramic veneers not only cover discoloration, but also make cracked and broken areas in the tooth invisible. In addition, this method of dental aesthetics protects the surface of your teeth. Even the regulation of minor misalignments of the teeth is possible with the help of veneers.

Nobody would refuse a bright smile. Nowadays it is very easy to cover up gray, discolored, crooked teeth and tooth gaps and thus get rid of them. A modern option in dentistry is the application of so-called dental veneers, which can change the appearance of the teeth within a short period of time.

Veneers are wafer-thin veneers made of translucent ceramic. The approximately 0.5 mm thick shells cover the entire visible part of the tooth. This creates an aesthetically optimal tooth surface that does not look different from a natural tooth. The ceramic shells are individually manufactured in the dental laboratory using an impression and are almost permanently connected to the tooth using a special adhesive process.

The veneers are particularly suitable for correcting incisors and canines. They enable excellent aesthetic results with slight tooth misalignments, tooth gaps and discoloration.
Veneers protect the tooth and the gums. Health impairments are unlikely thanks to the high tolerance of the ceramic material used. The veneers are extremely resilient and durable.

What are dental veneers?

Veneers are a form of cosmetic dentistry that involves placing a shell or layer of tooth-colored porcelain or composite over the facial surfaces of your teeth. Veneers can be used by dentists to correct the appearance of worn enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing, tooth discoloration, and chips or cracks. Porcelain and composite veneers are made by dental technicians in a dental laboratory. However, composite veneers can also be made in your mouth directly by your dentist.

What are the advantages of veneers?

Veneers are aesthetically pleasing, protect the surface of damaged teeth and potentially eliminate the need for more extensive treatments such as crowns. They ensure a natural tooth appearance. Other advantages of veneers include durability, an improved appearance of your smile, and the need to have little or no removal of tooth structure compared to crowns.

Which veneers are right for you?

When choosing veneers, you need to choose the appropriate length, shape, width and color for your restorations. Your dentist will use a shade card to help you choose the best shade of veneer. If your veneers are to be made in a dental laboratory, your dentist will take an impression of your teeth and create a model of your mouth that the laboratory can use when you adjust your restorations to the correct size and shape.

What happens during the procedure?

To place veneers, your dentist will shape and prepare your teeth. To do this, you have to permanently change it by removing a small amount of natural tooth structure (usually just tooth enamel) in order to adapt it to the custom-made porcelain or composite restoration. You will then have to wear temporary veneers until your permanent restorations can be placed. With composite veneers (direct bonding) that your dentist creates in your mouth, you do not have to wear temporary restorations. Veneers made by a dental laboratory are bonded to your teeth using different types of resin cements.

What to expect after the procedure

In general, good dental advice is to keep sugar consumption low and limit yourself to meal times to prevent tooth decay. You should be careful when eating hard. Sometimes a night watchman (brace) is recommended to protect teeth, especially when patients are grinding their teeth.

How long do dental veneers last?

Veneers usually last between 4 and 10 years. After this time, the veneers would have to be replaced.
