Bruststraffung

Millions of women today suffer from low self-esteem because of the shape or size of their breasts. They long for a change, a breast augmentation that increases their self-confidence and helps them to feel good in their own skin. Unfortunately, the costs and possible risks of an operation mean that many women do not dare to take this step and therefore remain dissatisfied with their own bodies.

However, breast augmentations have long been part of the norm in the field of plastic surgery. Thanks to the current state of research and the medical possibilities, you can realize your wishes and ideas with minimal risk. Our surgeons and the entire team will support you from the first second to years after your treatment. Our surgeons are among the best surgeons in Turkey and have performed more than 5,000 surgeries.

During the operation, which is performed under general anesthesia, our surgeon makes an incision in the skin, lifts the breast tissue and creates an implant pocket into which the breast implant can be inserted. The surgeon then slides the implant either partially or completely under the pectoral muscle (submuscular implantation, especially in very thin women with little fat/glandular tissue) or places it under the mammary gland above the pectoral muscle (subglandular implantation), leaving the breast tissue itself largely untouched remain.

The necessary skin incision, of which as little as possible should be visible after the operation, can be made in the newly formed inframammary fold (inframammary access), around or through the areola (transareolar access), in the armpit (transaxillary access) or when using saline solution take place in the navel. A special technical feature is the endoscopic breast augmentation via the armpit. A fine endoscopic instrument is inserted behind the pectoral muscle through a narrow incision in the natural armpit fold and this is initially bluntly and electrocauterically severed in the area of the muscle attachment in order to avoid deforming the breast when the arm moves . Here, the enlargement through the endoscopy image offers greater security, not to cut through any sensitive nerves, but to form the pocket behind the pectoral muscle with millimeter precision and precision. Both round and anatomical implants up to a size of 480 cm³ can be safely positioned in this way. In the hands of the experienced surgeon, the technique is just as safe and precise as when making an incision under or on the breast. The operation time is usually shortened. So far there is no evidence-based method to be generally preferred. The advantages and disadvantages of the three different access routes are primarily determined against the background of the individual requirements and the experience of the respective surgeon with a method and should be discussed in a consultation. In a preliminary discussion, it will be clarified which method can be considered.

WHY ONE
BREAST REDUCTION?

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure required in conditions where the breasts are larger than normal due to pregnancy, obesity and breastfeeding.

The size of the breast is not only an aesthetic problem, but also a cause of serious health problems. This is because they cause back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, restricted physical activities, rashes under the breasts, inability to wear the clothes you want, and ridges on the shoulders caused by bra straps.

Excess breast tissue, fat and skin that make the breast large are removed. Then the breasts are shaped and proportioned. Various surgical techniques can be used in breast reduction surgery to ensure symmetry between the breasts. Before starting the breast reduction surgery, the patient's height and breast weight are first calculated and then the drawings of the new breasts are made accordingly.

After that, the excess breast tissue and skin are removed while the patient is under general anesthesia. The breast reduction takes about two to four hours.

.

Breast reduction, like many surgical procedures, leaves small scars. Breast reduction surgery leaves an inverted T-shaped scar. The scar that remains around the areola will not be noticeable as it is in the color change area. The scar that remains under the breast becomes a barely visible, thin and insignificant line.

With today's techniques, a breastfeeding mother is more likely to be able to breastfeed after breast reduction surgery. Breast reduction involves removing part of the mammary glands (especially in women with large breasts). However, this does not cause any changes in the breastfeeding functions. If you are considering having postpartum breast reduction surgery, you can easily have it 6 months after you have stopped breastfeeding.

Breast lift, i.e. mastopexy, is a surgical procedure performed to lift sagging breasts to make them look aesthetically beautiful, make body sizes harmonious with each other, and provide natural-looking symmetrical breasts.

Breast lift is a surgical procedure that can be performed on all women who have sagging breasts, whether they have given birth or not. Sagging breasts can be due to structural reasons, but can also be seen in cases of weight gain and loss, in the postpartum period, and due to the effects of aging and gravity.

DO I HAVE SAGGY BOOBS?

In order to understand whether you have saggy breasts or not, you must first stand in front of a mirror and then assess the positions of your nipples and inframammary folds. Breast sagging, called breast ptosis, is usually divided into 4 groups .

These 4 groups are mild ptosis, moderate ptosis, advanced ptosis and pseudoptosis.

  • When the nipple is at the level of the breast crease or about 1 cm below, the condition is called mild ptosis.

  • When the nipple is 1-3 cm below the breast crease, the condition is called moderate ptosis.

  • When the nipple is more than 3 cm below the breast crease, the condition is called advanced ptosis.

  • When the nipple is above the breast breast crease while the lower half of the breast sags below the crease, the condition is called pseudoptosis.

If breast sagging is observed due to certain factors such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, instantaneous weight change and aging; when the position of the nipple and areola (the tissue that surrounds them) is too low on the chest  and if your doctor thinks that the breasts you want can only be shaped with implants, you may consider a breast lift.

Breast lift surgeries can be performed using many different techniques.

  1. In our first technique, an "inverted T-shaped" incision is made around the areola. This incision extends vertically down from the areola and continues horizontally across the breast crease. This technique is typically used in patients with advanced chest ptosis.

  2. In our second technique, a "lollipop-shaped" incision is made that extends vertically from the areola to the infrared crease. This technique is typically used in patients with moderate chest ptosis.

  3. In our patients with mild chest ptosis, an incision is made just around the areola. In all techniques, the tissues around the nipple are first freed. Then the excess part of the surrounding breast tissue is removed and the breast is reshaped. After the shaping process, the nipples can be wetted in their ideal position.

When the bandages on the body are removed after breast lift surgery, the breasts may appear swollen. Puckers or deformities can be observed at the incisions under the breasts. These effects of the operation disappear within a month. You will not feel any severe pain after the operation. However, sometimes swelling and bruising can occur in the breasts. They disappear spontaneously after a short time. It is recommended to use the bandage that will be placed on your breasts for a period of 3 days after the surgery. At the end of this period, you can wear an athletic bra in the form of a semi-single. A month after the operation you can start swimming and exercises that work your arms. Because self-dissolving sutures are used in breast lift surgeries, there is no need to remove sutures post-surgery. A period of 6 months to 1 year is required to recover all effects, complete the reshaping process and improve the loss of feeling after breast lift surgery.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING

Mammary glands and milk ducts are protected during breast lift surgery. Technically, your ability to breastfeed and breast sensation are extremely well protected in line with the procedures.

You can have breast lift surgery at the end of the breastfeeding period, which is about 6 months after your breasts are completely dry. If you cannot wait until the end of this period, you may experience inflammation and your stitches may come loose. Such a fall will cause scarring on your breasts.
