The Brazilian butt lift is an aesthetic plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery that consists of two steps:
First, excess fat is removed from the abdomen, back, flanks and waist. It is therefore a liposuction (liposuction) that aims to change the body silhouette above the buttocks in such a way that the waist is narrower and the roundness of the buttocks is emphasized.
At the same time, the transition from back to buttocks is "defined", fat pads that are resistant to diet are sucked out, the lower back becomes slim and firm.
The aim of liposuction is not only to gain fat for buttock enlargement. In most cases, the waist is significantly narrowed to emphasize the female figure. Therefore, the Brazilian butt lift is body-shaping surgery that always has to be planned individually.
One's own fat is used to model the body:
the lateral regions of the buttocks that appear pressed in (so-called peritrochanteric depressions) are filled. Or the central buttocks region, which is responsible for the bulging of the buttocks, is filled up.
Another extremely important aspect is the “line” of the hips. Depending on the body type, this can be changed in such a way that the desired female form is created. In Germany this is known as apple po.
Such an operation carries risks.
Not because it is a complicated procedure, but primarily because of the aftercare. Here is the most important information:

The before/after effect is very often impressive with this operation because the patient's body silhouette is changed. So it's not just about enlarging the buttocks, but improving the shape of the buttocks and hips. As a rule, the buttocks are much firmer and rounder after the Brazilian butt lift and appear "tightened". This explains the naming of the operation.
